This is kind of important, so my font is slightly bigger so I can get your attention and whatnot!

Righto, basically, I'm getting a new LJ. This one is horrendously cluttered with junk in my past entries and my friends page and such, so I'm starting anew. If you care to be my friend on LJ, go right on ahead and add armanky to your friends. If not, I take no offense, I realize I'm annoying as hell. This way you can part ways with me without saying anything.

And if you're reading this two years after it happened and forgot to add my new account, go ahead and do it, I don't care.

So yeah. I don't know what I'm gonna do with this journal. You might wanna give it a good long look if you really want to cherish the memories of my own broken teenage life.

My Skype is fixed. Joyous day! Evidently it got tired of being in a folder named "Skype" or something. Huh.

For those of you who might care, I've recently acquired The Office Season 2 on DVD and the MGS series. I've never watched The Office regularly for some reason, but every time I see it on TV it's totally awesome. Tis an awesome show. Michael's also a freaking retard.

MGS is awesome too. I have no idea why I waited so long to play the games, but they kick a ton of ass nonetheless. I just wish MGS2 didn't make you play as Raiden because he's stupid and is not Snake. At all.

This week's gonna get rather busy methinks. I'm not completely sure when all the Madrigal stuff is, but there's a lot of it. Friday's gonna be confusing, 'cause I have to convince my AP Euro teacher to let me out of a trial we're doing so I can go on a Madrigal gig during the day, take pictures for Madrigals, and then go to the game. It's not a huge issue, it's just a bunch of stuff (Madrigals takes up a lot of time if you didn't notice). Then Saturday I get to miss our Homecoming Dance 'cause we're going to visit my brother in College as well as look at some colleges for myself.

Which is lame, because our school dances are just the COOLEST THING IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE.

Actually, for any of you that have been to College or might be in it now, do you think it'd be better to go to a private college with more personal relations and all that, or go to a medium-sized state college with a rubbish Football team? I think I qualify for full tuition with the latter, but any sort of private colleges will definitely cost a pretty penny. What do you guys think?

Couple of things.

I finished some book we had to read for school called In Country. It wasn't bad honestly, and the ending was rather touching. Dunno if I'd recommend it or not. There's a movie of it anyhow.

Yesterday Ouendan 2 came in and I played it kind of a lot! And also I managed to snap my stylus in half trying to do the spinners. I found some better ones for like six bucks at Coconuts, but they don't fit in my DS anymore. ...which is just a minor inconvenience really.

And I did pick up Harry Potter today. I haven't gotten to reading it yet, which I'm about to do and will probably do at work tomorrow. Please still don't spoil the ending, I'd cry in my sleep.

On an unrelated note, this weekend has been void of business as far as burger-selling. It's been kind of cloudy and sort of windy, so I guess people find it too chilly to go to the pool. I think I gave more stuff to my coworkers than I did to customers. Thank you!

And to anyone who may care, I bought Ouendan 2 off of eBay 'cause it looks keen.

Not much else happening really.

I saw Transformers yesterday. It was a little bit kickass hardcore kind of. Bumblebee kinda got his ass kicked the whole way through though, poor guy.

Now I just have to see Harry Potter and Ratatouille. Nine times.

But for now, I gots a meme!

1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite
lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich.
Your favorite smurf. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

1. If you found yourself in an RPG, what sort of character would you be, and how would you affect The Grand Scheme o' Things?
If it were like a Final Fantasy class, I'd be like a blue mage. Otherwise I'd just be versatile and possess totally random powers, many of which would probably be useless status effects. I'd be a random dude people know about who eventually ends up being quite useful in destroying the giant evil enigma that wants to destroy the world. And I'd possibly flirt with every girl. <s>And have a kickass chainsaw arm.</s>

2. What do you think is your fatal flaw? (That is, avarice/hubris/etc)
The big one is lack of consistancy. I can do something perfectly sometimes and be admired and praised for it, but immediately after I can be just okay at it or be flat-out awful. I think sleep has a lot to do with it though.

And I've also got a problem with sticking to ideas and not abandoning them or wandering off to something else. I suppose I need to actually get myself immersed in a project to stay with it until the end.

3. What game do you think you've played/beaten the most?
Hm. I've beaten SMRPG and Earthbound like three times at least. I played SMW like mad when I was a little boy, but it was mostly the first three worlds because that one Ghost House confused my simple child mind. And of course, I played Pokemon Blue religiously for a long while.

4. If you could force everyone in the world to wear some crazy hat/piece of headgear all day, what would it be?
Tophats. That way I'd get the slightest sense that culture remains in the world. And also my mom wouldn't be able to say that owning one is the dumbest idea in the world and I'd be completely weird for wearing one.

5. In your opinion, online play: the best way to play, or not worth the hassle of dealing with anonymous jerks?
If it's done right. Some MMORPGs can be immersive if there's a genuine fun factor behind the hours of grinding, and any game with friends online is good fun. Games like Battlefield are lots of fun and can be played in short bursts or long sessions depending on what you feel like. Also there's always that one person on an MMORPG you can find who's pretty keen.

On the other hand, they can be absolute braincell-killers if it's crowded with 13-year-old kids who get pissed when everything doesn't happen exactly how they want. Or if it's just BORING.

1. You're a video game designer. What genre of game would you go for first? Describe in detail as much as you'd like.
Hum. I'd probably want to start with something pretty simple, like an original puzzle-like game or a classic sort of adventure game. If the team was experienced at least and I knew we had good artists and programmers, I'd definitely want to make a good platformer for the Wii. I haven't seen any good straight-up platformers since N64 and it's depressing.

2. Five favorite foods?
Pasta, chicken, rice, enchiladas and... cupcakes?

3. Name a television show you'd like to appear on most as a character (Meaning, no reality TV shows.)
Uh. Does that include like cartoons or anime? Having anything to do with Excel Saga would be completely badass unless you're Pedro. But as far as real people type shows... Um, Scrubs I guess. I don't watch a lot of those.

4. Name five animes you enjoy, and five you're interested in.
Ouran, Excel Saga, Bobobo, Detective Conan and Trigun are pretty swell. Azumanga Daioh is hardcore enough that I'd want to watch it, and I've seen like two episodes of Honey and Clover. There's a whole bunch of random ones I'd like to see that I don't feel like thinking up. Whatever people like I'll probly watch.

5. Can you stop kissing boys?
I'm trying, but there's just too many of them!

1. Sup?
Not a lot!

2. how many boys have you kissed?
Not nearly as many as you have. Seriously, stop.

3. were you lying on the previous question?
No, I do wish you'd stop. It's unhealthy to be kissing boys all the time
.
4. kitties or puppies?
Kitties! They're adorable and always seem to have their own schedule and plans devised in their head. Dogs are cool too, but they do not seem quite as organized.

5. what's your favorite movie? why?
Hm... I've always been a huge Holy Grail fan, so I guess I could consider that my favorite, generic as it is. It's hard to say, there's a lot of really great silly movies.

And of course, Mewtwo Strikes Back will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart.

1. Do you eveir get pissed off at ze gay remarks?

2. Do you still miss ze "Good old times" or haf ve reached a place now vhere it's just as good if not betteir? Any places zis question jumps to, feel free to write about.

3. Vould YOU date a friend's ex-girlfriend if you had a crush on her?

4. Vat do you zink of being selected to voice Prince Portly?

5. Vhy do you like tophats so much? Zey're so oveirrated.

1. I'm secure in my masculinity, so not really. I've kind of gotten used to them.

2. I was kind of an idiot during the "Good old times", but twas still fun. Everything is more real now, so it's all good. Both time periods have their quriks.

3. I'd give them both time to move on at least.

4. He seems like a fun character, so long as you don't make me laugh for three minutes in a Portly voice. Dammit Torte.

5.

My job is becoming easier! I'm getting the hang of it and stuff, like how to keep up with supplies and have a good number of ready-made food available.

Yesterday was better than it's been. I felt like there were a lot of people, but I was getting much better at handling them and dealing with multiple groups of poolgoers at once. And also that closing the grill can do wonders for warming up that single hot dog some dude wants.

Then my family and neighbors came and made me make them stuff. I got to make a hot dog for my toddler neighbor, so my life is fairly complete! Fairly. Almost.

Then I ran out of propane just as I was talking to my dad about how bad it would be if I ran out of propane. My boss seemed to be quite upset at this, so it dawned on me that we were completely out of propane. They had one of the concession stand girls run over and get some more, but nobody really bought anything for the rest of the day. Whatever!

Odin Sphere is pretty cool anyhow! Good stories are fun, and you get to play as the most horrendously manly characters ever. Maybe I'll share that later, I have to work now.

Be good, kids.
